2 Skein Asymmetrical Shawl/Scarf - Recipe/Pattern With Hand Dyed Dk Yarn
I was looking for a knit project that was fast enough for that gratification need, but not a small item. This one fit the bill.
It's a great accessory to your wardrobe for spring, cool summer night and the fall. Quick enough for a gift and uses 2 skeins of hand dyed Dk weight yarn. All and all not to shabby.
I used the Totally Teal and Tropical Feathers colors on Cottage Dk.
Alternated colors every 16 rows in stockinette . 5 stitches of garter stitch on the edges and finished with 2" of 4 x 4 ribbing before cast off.
Finished size with light blocking was 76" long and 20" deep at the point.
Us size 8 - 5mm 40" circular knitting needle ( I knit to the snug side) Any of these details can be customized to suit your personal taste.

I like to cast on 4 st and do a few rows with the increase only ( knit front and back of stitch ) then start the decreases ( knit 2 stitches together) .
Simply put you will make increases every row on one edge and a decrease on the opposite edge every second row .
